"FREQUENCY" (2000) Review
Directed by Gregory Hoblit and written by Toby Emmerich, "FREQUENCY" is an entertaining and intriguing time travel story about a New York City firefighter in 1969, who is able to communicate with his adult son in 1999, via a short wave radio. The movie starred Dennis Quaid and James Cavielzel. ( Read more... )
"PRINCE OF PERSIA: SANDS OF TIME" (2010) Review
When the Disney movie, "PRINCE OF PERSIA", was first released in theaters some six years ago, I had heard a movie reviewer on radio talk show compare the Disney film to the 1962 Oscar winning film, "LAWRENCE OF ARABIA". Much to the detriment of the Disney film. And as I sat there and listened to this guy bash "PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME", it occurred to me that there were still plenty of idiots in this world . . . including radio disc jockeys. Recently, I noticed there were a good number of television productions in both North America and Great Britain, set during the 18th century. In fact, I managed to count at least six productions. Astounded by this recent interest in that particular century, I decided to list them below in alphabetical order: ( Read more... )
"TERMINATOR: GENISYS" (2015) Review

In fact, I have never seen the "TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES" television series, aside from two or three episodes. But I have seen all of the franchise's movies, including its most recent one - "TERMINATOR: GENISYS". ( Read more... )
"LOST IN AUSTEN" (2008) Review
I must admit that I am usually not a fan of novels or any other forms of storytelling that are based upon or continuations of published works of the origin author. This is certainly the case for the numerous works (sans two) based upon Jane Austen's six published novels. ( Read more... )
"LOST" RETROSPECT: (5.02) "The Lie"
Season Five of ABC's "LOST" has always struck me as the series' Odd Man Out. It is not the first season to break the rules of the series' format. Season Four not only featured flashbacks, but also flash forwards. But Season Five seemed to be all over the place. And I believe this was due to the cast being split up for the first half of its season. ( Read more... )

"ONCE UPON A TIME: MAKING EXCUSES"
For those of you who believe that Emma Swan did the right thing by killing Cruella de Vil in the “ONCE UPON A TIME” Season Four episode, (4.18) “Sympathy For the de Vil” . . . I could not disagree with you more. ( Read more... )
