I don't think she knew it was David who was responsible. (Though she may have had her suspicions when he became all pro-(alien-)life.) She came to realise that not only were the containers of alien goo most likely what had infected her lover, but also that the goo was in a ship intended by the Engineers to fly to Earth.
If David is just as scary and unpredictable as the monsters on the planet, so are Humans. You've just described certain aspects of human nature.
Indeed. I'd agree with that. But since David is not human he can be more frightening at some points. At the point when he infects Charlie, he has contempt for humans in general (admittedly not without cause).
In his earlier scenes, Rafe Spall had used a bad Southern accent.
I'm sure I will see this again when it comes out on DVD, so I'll have to listen out for that.
