HOW IRON MAN RUINED "CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR" FOR ME

I am so disappointed with Marvel. And I am especially disappointed with its latest entry for the Marvel Cinematic Universe - namely "CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR". "CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER" (2014) Review

If I have to be perfectly honest, I do not recall the initial reaction to many Marvel fans, when the studio first released the news of the upcoming release of the second Captain America film. I do recall various comments regarding the first one - 2011's "CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER". The comments for that film ranged from mediocre to box office disappointing. I found the latter opinion odd, considering that movie made a considerable profit at the box office. And besides . . . "CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER" proved to be a favorite of mine from 2011. "THE FIFTH ESTATE" (2013) Review

The subject of WikiLeaks has been something of an conundrum for me. I have been aware of the series of news stories about the website and its founder and spokesperson, Julian Assange and Daniel Domscheit-Berg. But I must be honest . . . my thoughts on the whole matter tend to disappear at least a few minutes after hearing or reading about it. Every now and then, Hollywood would release a movie with a story based upon a particular event or individual from Los Angeles' history. Movies such as "CHINATOWN", "L.A. CONFIDENTIAL", and "CHANGELING" are examples. Recently, Hollywood released a new movie about a moment in Los Angeles' history called "GANGSTER SQUAD".( Read more... )

This year marked the release of three movies about or featuring the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. He was born on Sinking Spring Farm, in southeast Hardin County, Kentucky (now part of LaRue County) on February 12, 1809; making him the first president born outside the original thirteen colonies.
